So apparently I won an award for Best Short Romance for Thistles over at the House/Cameron Fanfic Awards, which kind of astonishes me because it was my first-ever House fic. Not to go all Oscar-speech on you guys, but I was thrilled just to be nominated, I certainly never expected to win...so didn't expect it, in fact, that I didn't know because I never checked back until now. So thank you, [livejournal.com profile] athousandsmiles, for nominating me, and thank you to everyone who voted, I love you all. *kisses* For anyone who was wondering, Awful Nice, which was up for a Cammie in the Fluff category, lost out to [livejournal.com profile] jesmel's Day Off, but she happens to be one of my very favorite House/Cameron writers and definitely deserved it.

Once again, credit for the stunning banner goes to [livejournal.com profile] vicodin_martini.
I have been nominated for two awards over at [livejournal.com profile] hc_fanficawards! 'Best Fluff' for Awful Nice, and 'Best Short Romance' for Thistles. Thank you [livejournal.com profile] athousandsmiles!

Title: not waving, but drowning

Chapter Two

Summary: When House asks Cameron why she likes him, in the S1 episode Role Model, she tells him the truth, and House learns there are worse things than being physically damaged. House/Cameron. Dark. I say again, DARK. Here be monsters.

Rating: this is so very NC-17. Seriously. Once I really get down to business, it's gonna be like NC-35. Read the warnings, try to keep an open mind, and don't flame me cuz I use flames to make s'mores. Just sayin'.

Spoilers: Oh, Christ, this bears no resemblance to canon. If you've seen Season One, and you know that House's dad was an asshole, you're good.

Disclaimer: Copyright infringement causes cancer. Or something else bad. Apocalypse. Aphids on your roses, IDK, because it's wrong and blah blah whatevs, fake like Laurie's American accent, never happened.

Story Warnings: *rubs hands together with malicious glee* Angst. Filthy-hot semi-public sex. Detox. Mentions of child abuse and underage rape. Grief. Revenge. Abuse of prescription meds and use of illegal drugs. Murder (not a canon character death). Emotionally unhealthy coping techniques. BDSM. Mental illness. Stacy (yes, I feel writers should warn for Stacy). Also, for anyone who has read Thistles or Awful Nice, this is not even in the same solar system as those stories. Once again. THIS IS NOT THE SEQUEL TO AWFUL NICE. If you're not comfortable with any of the above, get out! Get out while you still can! Then just be patient and keep an eye out for From Here To Paternity, which I promise will continue to be cotton candy and puppies. And unicorns.

Reviews: Are like yummy candy. But you should be warned that even though I answer ALL reviews eventually, it takes me a while. It is not outside the realm of possibility that you would get a response in your inbox to a comment you left three months ago.

Author's Notes: This is for the Anonymouse who commented on Chapter One today, wanting to know WHERE IS THE MOAR? I, coming out of my BigBang-daze, saw the comment and went O HAI THAR OTP! I completely forgot that I had posted the first chap and left you all hanging. So, here's some more fucked-up angsty fic. Happy day ending in Y, I guess.

P.S. I promise everything will be all right in the end. If it's not all right, it's not the end.

Previous Parts: ::One::

I will warp your fragile little mind. Last chance to escape unscathed. )

Chapter One

Summary: When House asks Cameron why she likes him, in the S1 episode Role Model, she tells him the truth, and House learns there are worse things than being physically damaged. House/Cameron. Dark. I say again, DARK. Here be monsters.

Spoilers: Oh, Christ, this bears no resemblance to canon. If you've seen Season One, and you know that House's dad was an asshole, you're good.

Disclaimer: They will never be mine. Because this is what I'd do to them. And Shore knows it. And he's frightened. "Hi, David!" *waves*

Story Warnings: *rubs hands together with malicious glee* Angst. Filthy-hot semi-public sex. Detox. Mentions of child abuse and underage rape. Grief. Revenge. Abuse of prescription meds and use of illegal drugs. Murder (not a canon character death). Emotionally unhealthy coping techniques. BDSM. Mental illness. Author's Notes: Aaaangst, how I've missed you! Let's never fight again! *clings* Oh, and the title is from a poem by Stevie Smith.

P.S. I promise everything will be all right in the end. If it's not all right, it's not the end.

I was much further out than you thought, and not waving, but drowning... )

Title: Awful Nice 6/6

Summary: House takes advantage of Cameron's 'terminal niceness' by asking for a big favor-pretend to be his girlfriend in order to keep Bill Arnello (Mob Rule) from setting him up on a blind date. Previous parts: ::One::Two::Three::Four::Five::

Rating: R for this part. Definitely.

Spoilers: *considers* My timeline for this is AU following "Who's Your Daddy?" but there are potential character-insightey spoilers (House's childhood, etc) for all episodes aired in the US.

Warnings: Schmoop by the truckload, an ending, a trip back in time to Season 2, and an author who sucks at updating in a timely fashion (actually, those last two kind of go together).

Disclaimer: Everybody lies.

Author's Notes: This was my second House fanfic, and I had so much fun writing it, I'mma do it again. Keep an eye out for the sequel, From Here To Paternity, but you shouldn't expect it until I'm finished stressing over my fic for [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang, Imprint.

Reviews: Keep me writing. Seriously. I pick my next gotta-update-now project based on how many people have bugged me for more, and I have readers in other fandoms who have been waiting WAY longer for an update. I started my Roswell fic, In Your Eyes, back in '06, so this is quite timely in comparison.

Remember how I said soon I would post new fic?

I lied.

Well, not exactly...I mean, I'm still gonna post fic. Just not the stuff I promised you forever ago. This is *NEW* new fic. For new fandoms.

House MD fic. House/Cameron. I wrote a canon pairing. *facepalm* I'm so ashamed.

Also, I have joined the lemmings...I have a del.icio.us account. I will continue to add to it, probably indefinitely. It's mostly for my own reference, either while searching for fics I want to re-read or trying to find something for a poster on [livejournal.com profile] spnstoryfinders. But feel free to snoop in it.
