I HAAAATE summer. I am probably in the minority here, but I live in my temperate coastal BC climate where it rains more than London and I LIKE it, goddammit. If I didn't like it I would live somewhere else. And yet. It was 42o with humidity today. CELSIUS. That's 10-fucking-7 for you Americans. That was on VANCOUVER ISLAND. It was hotter in Vancouver. It's supposed to do this for the rest of the week. DNW.

You are not alone babe. I, too, despise summer with everything that is in me. Imagine our poor boys having to do location filming in that shit. . .

IKR! Poor boys. *pets them* They can probably handle the heat but it's the humidity that kills you.

I'm sorry for you, I feel you on the weather issue I am originally from Michigan so I normally had high 70's in the summer but I now live in South Carolina so I get high 90's in the summer and 60's-70's in the winter. So hope you get your beloved weather back soon.

*clings to glacier* The humidity is killing me. I barely have two brain cells to rub together.

I hate the heat, so, naturally, I live in LA, in an apartment without central air with a wall of windows facing east. I'm clever that way. But we have not, thank the good lord, hit 107 since I moved here. Hopefully we will not.

Also, hi! Friended you based on [livejournal.com profile] blackwayfarers' JoBros friending meme...

ESO FRIENDED ME OMG! *clings* I have been a fan of your writing since my babyfandom days in SPN...

I agree. You won't hear me bitch about the rain (though I will admit this winter's copious snowfall threw me for a loop - I feel very claustrophobic when it snows, as Vancouver isn't prepared for snow, so when it happens, everything... stops. It's very hard to go anywhere or do anything, and no one shovels their sidewalks, so you can't even really get out for a walk. Hence the closed-in feeling. Or maybe shut-in?) because the rain is mild and the rain makes all the pretty green things that live here even more pretty and green.

I'm originally from Texas... and yeah, it got this hot down there, and for longer, so when I complain, people look askance at me and grumble under their breath that I've lived in Texas so what am I complaining about... and my reply consists of these words: CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING, MOTHER FUCKERS! At least down there, you're melting when you're outside, but as soon as you come inside, there's relief. Understandably, no one round these parts has central air (this summer is definitely a freak occurrence... one of our weathermen said once in a lifetime), but that makes it so hard to sleep or relax. Ahem. This ended up being a much longer rant than I intended!

While I'm here... do you know if you're interested in that SPN Convention ticket? LMK when you get a chance!

I'm thinking I can't afford the tix. Stupid budget. *pouts* And yes, the weather here is killer! We're not used to it so practically no one has A/C. I am living at the library these days.

That happened at the start of the year here. It hit 37 in my apartment and my brain shut down to the point where it new a towel and water would help, but could not put the two together to create a wet towel. I understand.

... But at least I'm "used" to getting a few such days. So I do pity you a little.
OH!! But we don't get humidity, really. So, EEP! *feels even worse for you*

My brain has melted out my ears. *sigh* And the humidity is AWFUL because sweating can't cool you off like it's supposed to, you just get sticky and hotter and it's so gross...I've been taking more cold showers than a 14-year-old boy!

ug ug ug. 42???? that's unbearable.

But you're not alone. I don't like summer either. I like it cool enough to wear blankets to bed and long sleeve shirts every day. We've been lucky in Ontario. We've only had probably three days in the high 20/low 30s this summer. Tomorrow it's going to be 22 with rain :D

You should totally come here.
