I am having issues with the English language.
Not bad issues. In response to a challenge from the Muse, I am working on a novel (with actual characters I made up myself, yay!) with 'rich descriptive language,' aka 'words no one uses anymore.' Words like unmitigated, spurious, hackneyed, et cetera. So I seem to be spending a lot of time lately with a puppy in each hand and Webster's Unabridged in my lap (it's the biggest book I've ever seen, quite possibly the best reference material a writer could hope to have, and it is my ambition to kill off a character with it one day). It remains to be seen whether anyone will want to read a novel that will need to be translated from English into, well, whatever it is they speak in England...
